Los Colores

Mexico has celebrated color for centuries. I was immediately drawn in by the brilliantly painted colors and patterns of the walls and buildings of the town of San Miguel d’Allende, the birthplace of the Mexican independence. My interest in graphics, architecture, and history made it a natural fit.

The unexpected heavy rain at the beginning of the trip was a disappointment until I realized that the moisture made the all colors even more intense and varied adding new layers of texture. Rather than vistas, I focused on the details, which become brilliant graphics that do not hint of the reality of the subject.
