My interest in serious photography grew out of a son’s interest when we set up a dark room in a spare bathroom many years ago. When we moved 15 years ago, the darkroom went into cartons and I turned to color photography. A Certificate in Landscape Design and History from the Radcliffe Seminars motivated me to take many trips to visit gardens in the British Isles and Ireland. After that I began to give illustrated lectures on garden history. Other travels to over thirty countries have also contributed to lectures on varied subjects. Recently my photographs have appeared on the covers and in the two printings of The Boston Public Garden books. In addition to courses taken many years ago, I have been a member of the Photography Atelier for two years.
